Katastrofa lotnicza: Ponad 300 osób zagrożonych w pożarze samolotu

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has reported that a Delta Air Lines flight number 1213 was preparing to depart from the gate in Orlando when suddenly one of the engines caught fire. According to Reuters, authorities at Orlando International Airport took to social media to announce that the fire broke out on the tarmac and the airport’s rescue and firefighting team immediately responded.

A video shared by FOX 35 News showed passengers evacuating the aircraft using the emergency slides as firefighters worked to extinguish the engine fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Airbus A330 aircraft was scheduled to fly to Atlanta with 282 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and two pilots.

Delta Air Lines technicians will now conduct thorough checks on all aircraft. Airbus service will likely also inspect the aircraft to ensure safety. This incident is just one in a series of recent high-profile aviation incidents that have raised concerns about aviation safety in the United States, including an American Airlines regional jet colliding with a military helicopter on January 29th.

The FAA has announced that an investigation will be launched into the incident to determine the cause of the engine fire. These incidents serve as sobering reminders of the importance of maintaining strict safety protocols in the aviation industry to ensure the well-being of passengers and crew members.
