„Mężczyźni, którzy nie dorastali do męskości”
„Where have all the good men gone?” – this is the question that the creators of the upcoming comedy „Teddy Bears” will try to answer. The film takes a closer look at modern men who are not ready for anything serious, who enjoy life without commitments. The titular teddy bears are men who more closely resemble eternal boys than mature partners. On screen, they will be portrayed by Krzysztof Zalewski, Przemysław Bluszcz, Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka, Karol Osentowski, Wojciech Solarz, and Paweł Koślik. Their counterparts will be characters created by Karol Dziuba and Sebastian Stankiewicz.
Debates about the condition of modern men will be carried out by four friends played by Małgorzata Mikołajczak, Paulina Gałązka, Monika Mariotti, and Monika Pikuła.
As the scriptwriter and producer, Agnieszka Porzezińska, explains, the film’s script reflects what women currently say about relationships with men.
„The teddy bears are adult boys who haven’t become men yet. The story is told in a light and comedic way. Without pathos, but with the humor and distance needed by women and men. I think that many people will find elements of their own lives in this story,” she says.
Director Mariusz Malec admits that for some, this film may turn out to be a „wake-up call from the dream of eternal youth”. Although light-hearted, it may prompt some to reflect on modern relationships and what we expect from them and how much we are willing to sacrifice.
„There are fewer and fewer men, and more and more strong women who do not receive the support they deserve. Our film is a cheerful comedy about modern partnership and the timeless search for true love,” says the filmmaker.
You can delve into these issues starting on March 7, when „Teddy Bears” will have its theatrical premiere. The trailer for the film is already available.
