Skandal z fałszywymi dyplomami – uczelnie zgłaszają sprawę do prokuratury

Falsifying diplomas from reputable universities is a serious crime that jeopardizes the integrity of the education system. The recent discovery of fake diplomas purported to be from the Jagiellonian University has sparked outrage and disbelief among university officials.

The Jagiellonian University has taken swift action by reporting the possibility of criminal activity to the local prosecutor’s office. The university’s spokesperson, Marcin Kubat, expressed dismay at the availability of such fraudulent services on the internet, including the sale of diplomas under the guise of collector’s items.

Moreover, the university has cooperated with the Ministry of Interior and Administration by providing templates of its diplomas to aid in the creation of a Registry of Public Documents. This registry will help verify the authenticity of documents confirming the completion of studies.

In response to the incident, the University of Warsaw and SWPS University have also initiated legal actions to address the issue of diploma forgery. The University of Warsaw has reported a similar case to the prosecutor’s office, while SWPS University is preparing to do the same.

It is crucial for employers to verify the educational credentials of their employees through official channels. If an employer wishes to confirm a graduate’s education, they should seek authorization from the respective university before proceeding. This precaution helps prevent the misuse of academic qualifications and maintains the credibility of educational institutions.
