Walka jednostki ze sztywną instytucją. Niepowtarzalne widowisko w Teatrze Telewizji.

Austrian playwright Ödön von Horváth was forced into exile due to his views after Austria joined the Third Reich. He became known for his plays that addressed important social issues, set in a reality constrained by limited freedom. Despite being a classic of 20th-century drama, Ödön von Horváth’s plays were rarely performed on Television Theatre, although director Agnieszka Glińska has staged his works several times in theaters, yet never „Faith Hope Love”. We are pleased to see the return of the director to work in Television Theatre, where she made her debut exactly 30 years ago and has a significant body of work. The staging of von Horváth’s drama beautifully enriches it. In the somewhat Kafkaesque world of this play, our contemporary reality can surely be reflected – says Wojciech Majcherek, deputy director of Television Theatre.

A story still relevant

„Faith Hope Love” is the story of a woman falsely accused of fraud, who faces the machinery of justice and public opinion, where an individual can easily become a victim and remain without support. The individual drama of the main character is juxtaposed with the callousness of institutions and the widespread lack of empathy. It is a tragic drama, painfully relevant, but not devoid of grotesque and absurd humor.

Television Theatre performances are also available on the TVP VOD platform. In the play, we will see actors such as Maria Kania, Krzysztof Stroiński, Roman Gancarczyk, Dorota Pomykała, Michał Pawlik, and Barbara Wypych. After the Television Theatre performance, a meeting from the „Postscriptum” series will take place with director Agnieszka Glińska and actors Maria Kania and Roman Gancarczyk. The conversation will be moderated by Agnieszka Szydłowska.
