Peter René Cipiriano Baumann, known by his stage name DJ BoBo, is a Swiss artist, producer, and songwriter who rose to international fame in the 90s with his dance hits and unique style blending elements of eurodance, pop, and electronic music. His songs such as „There Is a Party”, „Let the Dream Come True”, „Freedom”, „Pray”, „Respect Yourself”, „Where Is Your Love”, „I Believe” and „Chihuahua” topped charts in Europe, and his albums have sold millions of copies worldwide. DJ BoBo is one of the most recognizable artists in the dance genre, and his energy on stage and passion for music continue to inspire audiences across generations. Soon, viewers of the New Year’s Eve show with TVP will also be able to experience this while watching the performances at the Silesian Park.
Another popular group that will be performing at the event is the Italian band The Kolors. With five platinum records for their song „Italodisco” in Italy, four in Poland, and over 350 million views on their official YouTube channel, The Kolors’ success is undisputed. Formed in 2009, the group released their debut album „I Want” in 2014. Their breakthrough came in 2015 with their second album „Out”, which featured the hit single „Everytime”. However, it was their 2023 single „Italodisco” that propelled The Kolors to the top of music charts in Europe and won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide.
Joining the lineup of performers for the New Year’s Eve show are legendary Polish artists such as Małgorzata Ostrowska, Feel, Piersi, Wilki, Jacek Stachursky, Papa D, and rising stars Sarsa and Kamil Bednarek. Staszek Karpiel-Bułecka will be there to get the audience dancing.
The New Year will also be welcomed by the wonderful hosts Michalina Sosna, Krystyna Sokołowska, Błażej Stencel, Filip Antonowicz, Janek Dąbrowski, and Piotr Kupicha. The New Year’s Eve show with TVP, Tuesday, December 31, at 8 p.m. on TVP2 and the TVP VOD service. Admission to the event is free.
